AVEVA World Summit 2016 Registration is open!

A Catalyst for Change

This year’s AVEVA World Summit will be held in New Orleans, USA from the 17-19 October. The Summit is AVEVA’s premier international customer and prospect event designed specifically for senior management and decision makers from the process plant, power, marine and AEC industries.

The Summit program will focus on how different businesses deal with change, from all-out transformation projects through to gradual continuous improvements. In other words, there are many flavors of managing change. The interactive event format will give you the first hand opportunity to learn or share the best practice and network with like-minded business executives from across the world.

Gain insights from our keynote speaker Monica Schnitger, on how to drive change with technology innovation and ITER on how they are powering the future of carbon-free energy with AVEVA software. You will hear from AECOM, Chantier Davie Shipyard, Eastman, Jacobs, Japan Marine United, McDermott, NASSCO, Southern Company, Vista Projects – to name just a few companies – about how they successfully managed their challenges using AVEVA solutions as the catalyst.

We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans on 17-19 October.

Introduction and setting the event objectives.

Richard Longdon, CEO, AVEVA

Change is constant, even in traditionally conservative industries. The end of easy oil, driving towards greener power and the imperative to be faster, decrease risk and grow profit are transforming the oil & gas and power generation industries. It’s often a struggle to justify improvement projects but experience shows that the companies that embark on a change program when markets are down are the ones best positioned to win the race in the upturn.

Monica Schnitger, President, Schnitger Corporation

Learn how Southern Company Operation’s Engineering and Construction Services (E&CS) Digital Fleet initiative envisions that for every physical asset Southern Company operates, there will be a digital one.

Carl Toner, E&CS Performance Improvement Manager, Southern Company Operations

Learn how Eastman is creating a data-centric engineering platform to improve their plant engineering processes and to maintain an evergreen digital asset for plant operations.

Jan Shumate, Director Plant Engineering, Eastman Chemical Company

A Digital Asset Strategy provides a competitive advantage, but what people, processes, and technology adjustments are required to implement?

Jan Shumate (Eastman), Jim Crompton (formerly Chevron), Carl Toner (Southern Company), John McQuary (Jacobs), Dave Wheeldon (AVEVA), Amish Sabharwal (AVEVA - moderator)

Jacobs is investing in data-centric delivery platforms to leverage our global workforce and bring excellent value to our clients.

Michael Van Swol, VP Project Delivery, Jacobs

EOM is challenging traditional practice and technologies to make giant leaps. ExxonMobil is on the transformation path to reduce design by 30-50%, the construction by 30% and the commissioning work by 30-60%.

Sandy Vasser, I&E Manager, former ExxonMobil

Companies are continuing to invest in technologies but why aren’t they achieving 30-50% engineering efficiency?

Michael Van Swol (Jacobs), Sandy Vasser (former ExxonMobil), Jeff Stroh (McDermott), Patrick Reilly (Vista Projects), Robert Wible (Fiatech), Maged Salim (AVEVA), Michael Halloran (AVEVA - moderator)

The oil & gas industry face long-term price pressures from new competitors and future project portfolios need to be scalable and flexible, avoiding the high risks, costs, and poor productivity of the past. Lessons in efficient manufacturing will need to be learned. How do we put energy projects back on track?

Harry Benham, Director, Carbury Consulting, formerly BP and Shell Major Projects; Clare Colhoun, AVEVA

In what other ways can we improve engineering, procurement, construction, and management efficiency?

Harry Benham (formerly Shell), Colin Fairweather (Amec Foster Wheeler), Sandy Vasser (formerly ExxonMobil), Trevor Bailes (WorleyParsons), Jack Leahy (AVEVA), Emon Zaman (AVEVA - moderator)
